Itinerary Details

Day 1 Delhi – Bagdogra by Air – Drive to Pelling ( 140 kms / 5 hrs)

Morning Upon arrival at Delhi airport we will assist you to connect the flight to Bagdogra, assistance upon arrival and drive to Pelling, a charming town in Sikkim. Upon arrival check into hotel and rest And enjoy the pristine environment of Himalayan range Overnight stay in Pelling.

Day 2 Pelling

Visit Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdentse Ruins for a dose of history. Enjoy breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga. Overnight stay in Pelling.

Day 3 Pelling to Gangtok (124 kms / 4 hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Visit the Rumtek Monastery on the way. Explore MG Marg in the evening. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 4 Gangtok Sightseeing

Visit Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir (subject to permit availability). Explore Enchey Monastery and the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology.Optional: Take the cable car to get panoramic views of Gangtok. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 5 Gangtok to Darjeeling (95 kms / 3½ hrs)

Drive to Darjeeling, famous for its tea gardens. Evening at leisure to explore the local markets. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 6 Darjeeling Sightseeing

Tiger Hill: Wake up early and head to Tiger Hill to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan peaks. The panoramic views from Tiger Hill are simply mesmerizing and not to be missed.

Ghoom Monastery: After sunrise, visit the nearby Ghoom Monastery, also known as the Yiga Choeling Monastery. This ancient Tibetan Buddhist monastery houses a 15-foot-high statue of Maitreya Buddha and offers insights into Buddhist culture and architecture.

Chowrasta Mall: Spend the evening at Chowrasta Mall, a bustling public square lined with shops, cafes, and vendors selling local handicrafts and souvenirs. Relax on the benches, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy views of the surrounding mountains.. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 7 Darjeeling to Phuentsholing (191 kms / 5-6 hrs)

Drive to Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan. Complete immigration formalities. Explore the local market in the evening. Overnight stay in Phuentsholing.

Day 8 Phuentsholing to Thimphu (163 kms / 4½ hrs)

The journey from Phuentsholing to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital, covers a distance of around 163 kilometers and typically takes about 4½ hours by road. The route passes through scenic landscapes, including lush forests, hills, and winding mountain roads. Along the way, travelers can enjoy picturesque views of Bhutan's natural beauty. Upon arrival check in and visit Tashichho Dzong and the Memorial Chorten. Evening free and explore the vibrant markets of Thimphu. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 9 Thimphu

Begin your day with a visit to Changangkha Lhakhang, an ancient temple perched on a hilltop overlooking Thimphu. Receive blessings for yourself and your loved ones from the resident monks, visit to the Memorial Chorten, a prominent Buddhist stupa built in memory of the third king of Bhutan. Take in the serene atmosphere and observe locals circumambulating the chorten. Enjoy a traditional Bhutanese meal at one of the local restaurants in Thimphu, trying dishes like ema datshi (chili and cheese stew) and red rice.

Tashichho Dzong: Explore Tashichho Dzong, a majestic fortress-monastery that serves as the seat of the Bhutanese government and houses the throne room and offices of the king and ministers. Marvel at the intricate architecture and colorful frescoes. Take a leisurely stroll through the Craft Market near Tashichho Dzong, where you can shop for traditional Bhutanese handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 10 Thimphu to Punakha (73 kms / 2 hrs)

The journey from Thimphu to Punakha in Bhutan covers approximately 73 kilometers and takes around 2 hours by road. The route offers scenic views as you travel through mountain landscapes, valleys, and forests. A key highlight along the way is Dochula Pass (3,100 meters), where 108 chortens (Buddhist shrines) are situated, providing panoramic views of the Himalayan range on clear days. The descent into the subtropical Punakha Valley brings warmer weather and lush greenery, with the famous Punakha Dzong (the Palace of Great Happiness) awaiting as a major landmark at the destination.

Day 11 Punakha to Paro (115 kms / 3 hrs)

This road covers approximately 115 kilometers and takes around 3 hours by road. You'll traverse through scenic mountain roads, passing Dochula Pass again for more stunning views of the Himalayas. The drive offers a blend of lush valleys, rivers, and pine forests. As you approach Paro, you'll be entering a culturally rich valley home to historic sites like the Paro Dzong and Ta Dzong (National Museum), and it's the gateway to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang).

Day 12 Paro

Here are the top highlights:Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) – The most iconic site in Bhutan, this cliffside monastery is a sacred pilgrimage site. The breathtaking hike up the mountain offers stunning views of the valley and is a must-see for any visitor to Paro. Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong) – A beautiful 17th-century fortress that now houses a monastery and government offices. The dzong is an architectural masterpiece, surrounded by lush greenery and overlooking the Paro River. Kyichu Lhakhang – One of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, dating back to the 7th century. It’s believed to bring spiritual merit, and it offers a serene atmosphere for reflection. Ta Dzong (National Museum) – Originally a watchtower, this building now serves as the National Museum of Bhutan, showcasing Bhutanese art, artifacts, and history. Day 13 Paro – Delhi (by Air)

Fly back to Delhi from Paro. Assistance upon arrival and transfer to hotel. Afternoon our vehicle will be available to go for shopping around Delhi. Night in Delhi

Day 14 Departure Fly back to for onward journey
