Itinerary Details

Day 1 Arrival in Colombo

Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Colombo. In the afternoon, explore Colombo, the vibrant capital of Sri Lanka. Despite its modern skyscrapers, the city retains its historical charm with landmarks such as a 100-year-old clock tower, colonial buildings, and the old parliament building in Fort. You’ll also visit affluent residential areas and the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH). Overnight in Colombo.

Day 2 Colombo to Kandy

After breakfast, drive to Kandy, stopping en-route at the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, home to approximately 60 elephants that have been rescued or orphaned. Watch these gentle giants bathe in the nearby river. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour of Kandy, the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings, known for its rich history and cultural heritage. Visit a gem lapidary, explore the Temple of the Tooth Relic, and experience a traditional cultural show in the evening. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 3 Exploring Kandy

After breakfast, embark on a city tour of Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the last royal capital of Sri Lanka. Discover its historical splendor and rich traditions. Stroll around Kandy Lake, constructed by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe, in 1806. Visit the Arts & Crafts Centre, gem museum, and lapidary. In the evening, explore the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, initially a pleasure garden for a Sinhala king and later expanded by the British. This 147-acre garden boasts a remarkable collection of trees, plants, and flowers. Overnight in Kandy.

Day 4 Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, travel to Nuwara Eliya. En-route, visit a tea plantation and factory to learn about the tea-making process and see how tea is graded. Enjoy a cup of pure Ceylon tea at the factory. Check in at your hotel in Nuwara Eliya. In the evening, explore the city, renowned for its invigorating mountain climate and stunning scenery. Nuwara Eliya, the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country, produces some of the world’s finest tea and is home to Sri Lanka’s highest mountain, Pidurutalagala (8,282 feet). The city also features one of South Asia’s finest 18-hole golf courses. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 5 Nuwara Eliya to Colombo

After breakfast, drive back to Colombo via Kitulgala, the filming location of the famous "Bridge on the River Kwai." En-route, visit the St. Clare's and Devon Waterfalls. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel in Colombo. Overnight in Colombo.

Day 6 Colombo to Bentota

In the morning, enjoy a shopping tour of Colombo, exploring various showrooms and boutiques. In the afternoon, drive to Bentota and check in at your hotel. Overnight in Bentota.

Day 7 Bentota

Spend the day at leisure in Bentota. Enjoy independent activities or opt for an evening boat ride. Overnight in Bentota.

Day 8 Departure from Bentota to Colombo
