Temples & Backwaters

OVERVIEW :

The Temple and Backwaters tour offers a captivating journey through rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural beauty. Starting in Chennai, you'll explore magnificent temples and delve into the city's vibrant history. Visiting Kanchipuram, Mahabalipuram, and Pondicherry, you'll witness architectural marvels, serene beaches, and a unique blend of French and Indian influences.

The tour then takes you to Trichy and Thanjavur to experience iconic temples, including the Brihadeeswarar Temple. In Madurai, you'll be amazed by the grandeur of the Meenakshi Amman Temple.

Thekkady offers exploration of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary and a boat ride on Periyar Lake. The highlight is Kumarakom, where you'll board a traditional houseboat for an overnight cruise on the backwaters, surrounded by palm-fringed landscapes.

Itinerary Details

Day 1 Arrival in Chennai

Upon your arrival at Chennai International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. After checking in and freshening up, you can spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring the vibrant city of Chennai. You can visit the Marina Beach, Kapaleeshwarar Temple, San Thome Basilica, or explore the local markets. Overnight stay in Chennai.

Day 2 Chennai Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Chennai. Visit the Government Museum, Fort St. George, Vivekananda House, and the beautiful Marina Beach. Explore the bustling streets of George Town and immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of the city. In the evening, return to the hotel for an Overnight stay in Chennai.

Day 3 Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Mahabalipuram. En route, visit Kanchipuram, known as the "City of Thousand Temples." Explore the famous temples of Kanchipuram, including Kamakshi Amman Temple, Ekambareswarar Temple, and Kailasanathar Temple. Afterward, continue your journey to Mahabalipuram. Day 4 Mahabalipuram Sightseeing

Day 5 Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Pondicherry, a former French colony known for its unique blend of Indian and French influences. On arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the day exploring the charming streets of Pondicherry. Visit Aurobindo Ashram, French Quarter, Promenade Beach, and the Auroville International Township. Day 6 Pondicherry - Trichy

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Trichy (Tiruchirappalli). On arrival, check in to your hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, visit the famous Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, one of the largest temple complexes in India dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Day 7 Trichy - Thanjavur - Trichy
