Roop Kund Trekking Tour

OVERVIEW :

Roopkund is situated in Chamoli district of Garhwal. The road head for Roopkund is Lohajung 155 km from Almora, 217 km from Nainital and 235 km from Kathgodam. Roopkund situated at a height of 5029m in the lap of Trishuli massif. This area is usually called 'Mystery Lake', because of the human skeletons and remains of horses from the Paleolithic age were found here. The lake is surrounded by rock-strewn glacier and snow clad peaks. The starting point of Roopkund Trek is Lohajung as it passes through the lush green grassy land and conifer forest clinging into the sloped hills. Roop Kund Trekking Tour thereafter winds its way along the Pindar River. Bedni Bugyal and Bhagwawasa are the most beautiful places in this trek. You will also find a lot of "Bramha Kamal" near Bhawawara.

Itinerary Details

Day 1

Day 01Flight to India (New Delhi)Arrive in Delhi by international flight. After a traditional 'Swagat' (Welcome) our representatives would assist you at the airport and to our hotel for check in and overnight stay.Day 02New DelhiBreakfast at the Coffee shop and rest of the morning at leisure. You will be taken on a guided tour of Delhi, beginning with a morning sightseeing trip to Old Delhi and followed by visits to the 1648 Red Fort, India's largest mosque - Jama Masjid and Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat. Afternoon tour includes visits to India Gate, President's House, Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple and Qutab Minar.Overnight stay in the pre-booked hotel.Day 03Delhi-Haridwar (200Kms / 05hrs)In the morning, we will drive to Haridwar, gateway to the four pilgrimages in the Uttarakhand. Haridwar is a holy city settled on the foothills of Shivaliks and on the banks of River Ganges. The city acquires a unique charm in the evening when the ghats become breathtakingly beautiful with thousands of Diyas and Marigold floating in the waters of Ganges. We visit various places like Mansa Devi Temple, Sapt Rishi, Daksha Mahadev temple etc. In the evening we will visit Har Ki Pauri again. In the evening a Maha Aarti is performed on this ghat.Overnight stay in hotel.Day 04Haridwar - Mundoli (285 kms / 10 hrs )After an early breakfast, drive to the small hamlet of Mundoli (2134m), Lunch enroute to Mudoli. We arrive in Mudoli where the trek begins.Dinner and Overnight in Guest House / Tents.Day 05Mundoli-Bekhal Tal (8 Kms / 5-7 hrs walking)Post breakfast begin the trek with packed lunch, Cross the Lahjung Pass (2250m) and continue to Bekhal Tal- a small lake amidst picturesque surroundings.Dinner and Overnight stay at the Camp.Day 06Bekhal Tal - Wan ( 10 Kms / 6-8 hrs walking )Post breakfast Continue the trek with packed lunch to Wan village. The trail takes you via another small lake - Brahm Tal.Dinner and Overnight stay at the Camp / Guest house at Wan. (2340m).Day 07Wan - Bedni BugyalPost breakfast begin the uphill trek and reach the 'Bugyals' (high altitude meadows) of Bedini (3354m) - a beautiful location with magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.Lunch enroute and Dinner and Overnight in the Camp.Day 08Bedni BugyalDay to explore the surroundings, which is bound to be an experience to be remembered.(Breakfast, Lunch, Evening Tea and Dinner and Overnight stay in the Camp.)Daayy 09Bedni-Baguabasa . ( 7 Kms / 3-4 hrs walking )Post breakfast trek through the undulating grasslands to reach Baguabasa (3380m). Lunch will be enroute.Dinner and Overnight stay in the Camp.Day 10Roopkund excursion (8-10 hrs walking )Post breakfast begin the trek with packed lunch to Roopkund - the mysterious 'Pond of Beauty'. Roop Kund (5029m) is close to the base of the Trishul (7120m) and Nanda Ghungti (6310m) Peaks. It is a mystery lake where a large number of Human bones were found and anthropologists are still trying to solve its mystery. The lake however is nestled amidst panoramic mountain scenery.Return to camp at Baguabasa for dinner and overnight stay.Day 11Baguabasa - Wan (6-8 hrs walking )Post breakfast Retrace the route back to Wan with packed lunch. Dinner and Overnight stay in Guest House / Tents.Day 12Wan - Mundoli ( 6-8 hrs walking )Post breakfast; continue downhill to Mundoli taking a direct route with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight stay in Guest House /Tents.Day 13Mundoli - HaridwarMorning after breakfast drive to reach Haridwar, Arrive Haridwar by late afternoon and and check in at your hotel, Lunch enroute, in the evening perform the Aarti on Har Ki Pauri.Dinner and overnight at the hotel.Day 14Haridwar - Delhi (200Kms / 4-5hrs)After breakfast we visit Har ki pauri and then go to Chandi Devi, also known as Mansa Devi Mandir by Cable car After lunch we proceed to Delhi.Arrive in Delhi & check-in at your hotel for a Short stay.Day 15Depart DelhiThe tour concludes today and Caper thanks you for your patronage.
